The short version
IGCSE Science Revision is an independent revision resource for Pearson Edexcel International GCSE (9–1) Biology, Chemistry and Physics. There are three parts to it: free revision videos on our YouTube channel, free digital workbooks, and a revision app that marks your practice and keeps track of what you have covered. All of it is written around the exam specifications and mark schemes, so you can revise efficiently and walk into the exam knowing exactly what the examiner wants.
The videos and the workbooks are free and are staying free. The app has a free tier of fifteen topics, five in each subject, and a subscription for the rest.
What we do
The site brings together short topic videos, written explanations, quick self-check questions and printable or digital workbooks covering the full Edexcel International GCSE science courses: Biology (4BI1), Chemistry (4CH1) and Physics (4PH1). Every video is deliberately kept tight, one idea explained clearly in the language the mark scheme rewards, so revision fits into short, focused sessions rather than hours of scrolling.
You can work topic by topic from the Biology, Chemistry and Physics pages, mark videos as watched to track your progress, and test yourself with the quick-check questions built into each topic. Reading options (text size, an easy-reading font, dark mode and more) are there to make the material comfortable to work through on any device.
What the website cannot do is mark your answers or remember what you have already covered. That is what the revision app is for, and it is described further down this page.
Who runs it
IGCSE Science Revision is created and run by Christopher Scargill. Everything here, the videos, the diagrams, the workbooks, the written explanations and the questions in the app, is made in-house. That keeps the style consistent and the content closely aligned to what students actually need for the Edexcel International GCSE exams.
Qualifications and experience
The resources here are written by Christopher Scargill, a qualified science teacher with classroom experience across both mainstream and SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) settings. He holds a degree in Biomedical Science and is a qualified paramedic with experience working in the health sector.
That combination of teaching, a science background and frontline healthcare shapes the material here: scientifically accurate, focused on exactly what the exam rewards, and explained in clear, accessible language for every learner.
Our approach
We believe good revision material should be accurate, clear and to the point. Each resource is built to match the specification and to use precise, mark-scheme wording, because in science exams the exact terms matter. We focus on the mistakes students most commonly lose marks on, and on the definitions, equations and required practicals that come up again and again.

Workbooks
Alongside the free videos, we offer free digital workbooks with notes, quick checks and exam-style practice for each subject. You can see what is available on the workbooks page. The workbooks are free and download directly from this website.
The revision app
The videos and the workbooks cover the course. The app is the part that keeps track. It holds 275 guided topics across the three subjects, each one running the same four stages: read the idea, learn the detail, answer questions that are marked as you go, then check the whole section once it is finished. Getting a question wrong tells you why it was wrong, which is the part that makes the next attempt different.
Fifteen topics are free, five in each subject, with no card details and no trial running out. After that it is one subscription covering all three subjects. An adult sets the account up, because a payment and a contract are involved, and it can be cancelled at any time. There is no advertising anywhere in it.
