Each topic is a short guided route rather than a wall of notes: the idea, a video if you prefer watching, the core knowledge, then questions that make you retrieve it rather than reread it.

Timed practice papers
A full paper for each subject under exam conditions, with mark schemes, so the first time you sit one is not in the exam hall. Written for this course, not reprinted from Pearson.

A per-topic view of what your work actually shows, built from what you have answered. It is guidance for revision, not a predicted grade, and it is optional.

How a topic actually works
Every one of the 275 topics runs through the same four stages, so there is never a question about what to do next.
- Read the idea. A short written explanation of the topic, written by a practising science teacher, not generated. If you would rather watch, the video for that topic sits at the top of the page.
- Learn the detail. The specification points broken into stages, each one small enough to hold in your head, with the wording examiners actually credit.
- Answer questions. Retrieval questions marked immediately. Getting one wrong tells you why it was wrong, which is the part that makes the next attempt different.
- Check the section. When a whole section is done, a checkpoint pulls questions from across it, so you find out whether it stuck rather than whether you can remember the last ten minutes.
Progress is saved to the account only if you switch that on. It is off when you start, and the app works without it.
What it costs
One subscription covers all three subjects. There is no separate Biology price, no per-paper unlock and no upsell inside the app.
- Free: 15 topics, five in each subject, with their questions. No card details and no time limit.
- £4.99 a month: all 275 topics, every question, the checkpoints and the practice papers. Cancel any time and access runs to the end of the month you paid for.
- £49 a year: the same thing, working out at about £4.08 a month.
Prices include any tax due, so what you see is what is charged. An adult sets up and pays for the account; the student uses it. Payment is handled by Stripe, and card details never reach us.
Questions people ask first
Do I have to pay to try it?
No. Fifteen topics are free, five in each subject, and they include the questions rather than being a preview. You do not enter card details to use them.
Is this the same as the free workbooks?
No, and the workbooks are staying free. The workbooks are something to write in alongside the videos. The app marks your answers, remembers what you have done and shows you what is still weak, which paper cannot do.
Which exam board is it for?
Pearson Edexcel International GCSE, specifications 4BI1, 4CH1 and 4PH1. It is written against those specifications directly. It is an independent resource and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Pearson.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, and on a tablet or laptop. There is nothing to install from an app store. You can add it to your home screen if you want it to open like an app, and once a topic has loaded it keeps working without a signal.
Who needs to set up the account?
An adult, because a payment and a contract are involved. The account holder can see the student's progress and manage or cancel the subscription at any time.
How do I cancel?
In the account page, through Stripe's billing portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves access running to the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no cancellation fee and no phone call.
Is my child's data safe?
The app does not ask a student for a surname, age, school, address or photograph, and there is no advertising anywhere in it. Saving progress and the readiness score are both optional and both start switched off. The privacy notice sets out the detail, and there is a shorter version written for students.
The free things are still free
Nothing has been taken away. Every topic still has a video, and the complete workbooks for all three subjects are still free to download. The app sits alongside them for anyone who wants their practice marked and their progress tracked.
